Thin Client Deployment
Thin Client Deployment
Hi Everyone,
I have a quick question,…How many are using thin clients (WYSE terminals) on the desktops? I am not referring to lab uses or onetime setups for registration. But, rather on your (president, vp, dean) desktop as the main machine you use. If you decided against this could you please share?
Thanks a mil,
Richard J. Bazile

We plan to pilot this, in IT, this summer.
We have 20 or so in use (wyse WT1200 and V10L). We use these in conjunction with MS Terminal Sever. They aren’t processing powerhouses, so we are limited where we can use them, but they work will when the user just needs to browse and do Office tasks.
Richard,
I use a Wyse P20 as my regular desktop now – in addition to several other people on campus. This is running on a VM VDI system – we hope to begin replacing regular desktops this summer.
