We have used CampusEAI for our portal solution for 4 years. Last year, we switched to the hosted version. It works very nicely. They had a lot of ready-made integration components for less common technologies like Sun Directory and SCT Banner. We recently searched far and wide for Microsoft Forefront Identity Manager experts. I was amazed at how hard it was to find anyone with that skill set. I completely forgot about CEAI at first. They not only knew MS FIM, they could work with Banner and the Sun Directory as well so doing Identity Management with them was a no-brainer for us. It was also nice not to have to break in a new vendor. A couple of years ago, when we were still hosting the portal locally, they called me at 10:30pm on a Saturday night to tell me the portal was down. I had to go in and power it up but the Oracle DB was messed up and it wouldn't start. It was nice to be able to leave that in their hands and go home and go to bed. They have quite a few Oracle DBAs and they handled it easily. They encourage instant messaging so you can reach out and get someone pretty quick anytime. I would definitely recommend them. ----------------- Robert Threet Systems Manager Information Technology University of Southern Indiana ********** Participation and subscription information for this EDUCAUSE Constituent Group discussion list can be found at http://www.educause.edu/groups/.

Colleagues, I would agree with Robert. We have used them for several years, and found them thoroughly competent and quite responsive. Whenever we have encountered difficulties, we have been able to reach their tech staff and have gotten the issues resolved quickly. SSO is their sweet spot, and none of our somewhat unique systems caused them trouble. We use their hosted solution, and we are working with them on using more of their services.
