Associate Director of Data Warehousing for the University System of Georgia


Come lead a team of data warehousing professionals in completing one of the most exciting

BI Program re-designs in higher education. Over the coming year we will be bringing together

data from 35 institutions in a central data warehouse to support the information needs of the

The data warehouse redesign is one of the Chancellor’s highest priorities receiving both state

and federal grant funding for the growing team of 16 in the Data Services department. This

warehouse will serve as the foundation of our “data warehouse as a service” offering that

will provide private-cloud based BI technologies directly to participating campuses. This is a

competitively salaried, key position within the University System of Georgia department of Data



Athens, GA is a great college town filled with activities, music, and culture. The area boasts

the highest ranked schools, great natural resources, and a low cost of living. Atlanta is only 1.5

hours away, with many USG staff living half-way between the Athens and Atlanta to enjoy the

best of both areas.

The Associate Director of Data Warehousing (ADDW) will be responsible for working with management, other team

members, and key stakeholders in defining, designing, developing, and executing the strategy to establish and

support analytical reporting, data access, and Business Intelligence (BI) functions and processes for the University

System of Georgia (USG). This includes working with those responsible for the source systems and data stewards to

ensure the highest quality of data possible. The ADDW will lead the team responsible for all aspects of the USG Data

Warehouse. The ADDW will also support special projects and special initiatives associated with the data warehouse.
