I'm curious as to which alerts other folks have active on their GAFE domains?

We just had a case where someone clicked through the profile birthday box, and thus locked his account (Google thought he was under 13) and the only way I found out about it was that GADS kept trying to restore his account, and was unable to.

Thank You

We have the "User suspended" alert turned on.

You would laugh out loud at some of the reasons the users have given us for not putting in the correct birthday information.  Sigh!

I have "User Suspended" turned on, but never got an alert for this. sounds like it is time to call the Googles...

My experience about a month ago (and confirmed by others on the googleapps-na list) was that Google will not notify when accounts are suspended by abuse. When I contacted support I was informed that's intended behavior (their policy is not to notify domain owners for abuse-related suspentions), and that things like contacts API returning incomplete data (how we discovered it) was also an expected effect. The alerts are apparently only for admin-configured suspentions. The annoying part of the API side was our "fixes" were accepted but then the next check would be missing the data again.

I use the API to get a list of our users every day and whether or not they are suspended. I send myself a diff of today's and yesterday's file.

To be honest, if they are suspended and it's not by us, we'll be wanting to have a chat with them anyway.

So we wait for them to come to us.... Unless they appear in vip.txt ;)

here's a problem example with that theory:
We have someone in our custodial department who's account was compromised and used for sending spam. her account was blocked for exceeding the sender limit. she doesn't send much in the way of email (typically just used for receiving information) and might not notice for a couple days (weeks)
the counters reset nightly, so our domain could then be used for a number of days (weeks) to send spam before we noticed it.

If  an account has been compromised, or locked down automatically, we want to know as soon as possible.
