Hi All; I've got a domain alias question that I hope someone can help me with! I added a domain alias to our domain yesterday. Today when I look at random users, some have the expected behavior of a new nickname of user@domain-alias.colorado.edu Some do not have this. From previous testing in a test domain, I understand that these nicknames don't show up instantly but shouldn't they be there for all users within a day? We're still in a pilot phase so we only have a few hundred users within the domain. Any help would be greatly appreciated! -- Mike Carter Office of Information Technology University of Colorado Boulder ********** Participation and subscription information for this EDUCAUSE Constituent Group discussion list can be found at http://www.educause.edu/groups/.

We have had ongoing problems with Google creating the domain alias addresses for newly-provisioned users.  Google has stated that it can take up to 12 hours for these to be created.  We are recently seeing this routinely exceed the 12 hours which has been very problematic for us.  We may need to open another case with Google.  When we originally set up our domains these addresses were created in seconds or minutes.  After a year or two, Google changed their infrastructure such that it could take up to 6 hours to have them created.  We had to update our provisioning processes accordingly.  Then the number crept up to 12 hours at some point.  We're not sure what's going on now...
