IT Communicators:

A few months ago, there was a discussion about annual reports for IT departments. Instead of annual reports, a number of you mentioned that you do accomplishment brochures or reports. These are smaller in scale than annual reports, but highlight what's been happening within your IT organization with a primary marketing focus.

If you have any recent accomplishment brochures or reports, do you mind sharing? These could be trifold brochures or summary reports. Whatever size or materials.

We don't publish an annual report, but I'd like to get ideas on these smaller-in-scale accomplishment brochures/reports. Just brainstorming at this point.

Thanks for your help!

I would love to see those as well. We still do a traditional online/Web-based annual report. Thanks for the query, Kerri. I am newer to the group and interested in looking at other options.

At CU-Boulder we published one in January and will be publishing a new one shortly. You can check it out at: http://www.colorado.edu/oit/about-oit/accomplishment-reports

Greetings…

We started a few years ago to attempt to remind ourselves and our institutions of the accomplishments of their IT investments. We still call them annual reports however they are marketing assets for future projects. http://www.tjc.edu/downloads/2003424/it_and_service_desk

Hi all -

Here is a link to where we post our "annual reports."

They are now beginning to be every two years - so the 11-12 one is in production now.

At the start of the fall and spring semesters we distribute a no-frills document to our campus that details what we've accomplished during the summer or fall. http://case.edu/its/backtoschool/stories.html

It's a great way for our leaders to quickly recall talking points when they meet with our constituents. We also host the document on our website, case.edu/its, so that the community can see it.

We are waiting for the printer to deliver our FY2013 KU IT annual report. As I’ve discussed in coffee shop before, our annual report is really an accomplishments document. The intent is to provide some high-level insights into our bigger projects for the previous year and where we focused our efforts. We also try and connect the dots for how technology benefits our customers. You can see our annual report at http://ow.ly/pdomb.

Yale recently published our first IT Annual Report. It is a longer document, not a brochure, but is the first time we have collected our achievements for sharing with the University and the public. http://its.yale.edu/about/organization-within-its/2013-its-annual-report
