This has been an interesting thread. Thanks for offering to cover it in a coffee shop, Chuck.  We usually look at two topics each coffee shop so we can balance our different interests.  Will you take the second slot in March?

Thanks for considering!

We have a homegrown solution "IT Notice" - I'd be willing to do a Coffee Shop presentation on it. It's a pretty cool tool and there's some flexibility for consumption of content (web, RSS, email, URL placement…). I also have ideas of more creative ways to weave it into communications, service catalog, etc.

We’d love to hear more on this topic so it would be great to sit in on a Coffee Shop presentation!

Chuck, your comment about the “tool” interests us because we’re in the midst of selecting an ITSM vendor. We’re hoping the tool we select will post to our website easily. Does your solution integrate with your news posting on the web?

Tina, we’re interested in how your notices are posted to your web page too. Is there a feed of some kind?

Chuck & Carlyn,

I am happy to be one of the presenters on the topic (Friday, March 8).

Thanks for clarifying – March 8. Still works for me!

We put together a nifty system for the Technical Staff to request IT Alerts using prewritten templates.  I'd be happy to demo this system, and talk about how they interact with our online "Service Status" scoreboard.

I agree, this (coffee shop on outages) needs to be a stand alone session so we can devote an hour to it. I'll schedule another "International coffee shop" in late January for this topic. The supplemental coffee shops are international primarily in the time we meet (early afternoon) and are scheduled on an as-needed basis. Chuck, Rick, Debra, Alison and Tina (who volunteered to present on outages) will get a Doodle poll link from me so we can pick a late January afternoon. If I missed one of the volunteers, or if you have ideas/examples to share, reply to me and I'll send you the Doodle link.
