Does anyone have any recommendations for ITSM/ ITIL conferences they have attended and found beneficial?

Thank you!

Hi Kelsey –

The itSMF Fusion is a good one. Although last year there was a limited number of speakers from Higher Ed, there is a Higher Ed group that meets and socializes in between sessions.

Another one is the PINK conference; the next one is in Feb 2015. Also, Pink Elephant has the Leadership Forum (PinkForum14), which I have not yet attended but I am planning to do so this year

Perhaps someone in the CG list can speak about the Pink Elephant conferences, if has previously attended.

Hope this helps.

Very best,

Pink Elephant seems to have an increasing higher ed attendance.  I think the do well.
HDI has not only a specific high ed forum that meets twice a year but their major conference is next month. ( HDI used to be more help desk focused back in the olden days but I believe still has the ITSM aspect.

I attend the Pink Elephant ITSM conference most years and I've really enjoyed it.  This year there were a lot of Higher Ed attendees and we had some good discussions.  I find the topics to be more diverse and varied than the two times I went to Fusion.  The keynotes at Pink are always sensational too and the whole conference just really well put together.  The August leadership forum is good.  It is not your normal mix of sessions but it is really about the discussion.  Almost every meeting is a roundtable or a discussion panel and it's a pretty small group of attendees.

Good luck deciding what to do.

I have only attended Fusion and the speakers and presentations were excellent however, higher ed attendance and focus on the higher ed environment was lacking. The Pink Elephant Conference is also excellent, however they also don't have much specific to higher education. hope this helps Deborah ____________________________________________ Deborah Dixon | Senior Manager, Client Services  | University Technology Services (UTS) | McMaster University | Burke Science Building (BSB), room 245/B |1280 Main St. W. | Hamilton, Ontario L8S 4K1| Mobile: 905-928-4722 | Phone: 905-525-9140, ext. 23678 | Email: | UTS Service Catalog:

Also, the annual HDI conference who puts on the Fusion conference is a great one to attend. Again, it is not focused around higher ed but, is focused around IT service and technical support. I highly recommend attending this conference or even your Lead Service Desk Techs to attend.
