Colleagues,

I am writing today to invite you to attend the SoLAR Flare to be held at Purdue University on 1-3 October, 2012. The conference is fast approaching, and we’d like for you to be a part, if you’re able to do so.

This conference will be somewhat different from many academic conferences. In lieu of concurrent sessions with formal presentations, the SoLAR Flare will provide you the opportunity to participate in facilitated discussions and practical work with colleagues to learn more about student success challenges and to discover how others are looking to analytics as part of the solution. Discussion of each topic will be facilitated by a thought leader in higher education who will provide a clearly-defined challenge to be addressed by each group prior to the event. Each team will work on developing a practical solution that focuses on sustainability and scalability.

To learn more about and register for the conference, visit www.solaresearch.org/flare/purdue2012. Spaces are limited – so please register soon. Questions about the event may be submitted by simply replying to this email.

If you’ve already registered for the conference or are unable to attend yourself, please consider encouraging a colleague to attend.

I hope to see you in a few weeks.

Regards,
Matt
