Digital books are bringing all kinds of fun challenges. We are looking at publisher offerings for the books we use. We aren't a 1:1 school and want to provide options for those that want to purchase electronic books.

One question that came up recently is how to deal with a student that changes courses. Normally, the bookstore takes the original course book back and the student gets a book for the new course. I'm not sure how this would work with digital books. Has anyone dealt with this issue?

A second issue is financial aid books. With electronic books this process changes. There's the cost of a device and the cost of the books, often licensed for one year. Has anyone worked through this issue?

Thanks,
Robert

PS I wonder how long it will be before it will be cool to use real books. :-)
