The pending storm has cause some “live” attendees to change to virtual attendees, but we will still be holding the event!

Those of you brave enough to still attend will be welcomed – we will meet at the Dodge Room in the Reed Campus Center.

Doing this virtually will give me a good indicator of how Lync can assist us with events on campus and lecture capturing.

We will start our Lync Meeting  at 9am but not start the presentations until 10am – this will help those attending virtually to get their connection.

NOTE: one thing I learned in testing this out is that in the PC Lync attendee, make sure you enable the stage to see the shared content:

(click on “Share” then check “Show Stage”)


Presentation Schedule:

10am                                    Live@EDU / Office 365 for Education

11am                                    Technology’s role in Emergency Management

11:45am to 12:30pm     Lunch

12:30pm                             iPad Deployements (NOTE: because Mike will be unable to attend in person, his presentation has been moved to Tentative)

1:30pm                                Wireless Site Surveys (NOTE: if Mike is unable to do his presentation, we will move this up to 12:30pm)



If you can’t attend either live or virtually, we will record the presentations and if they work we’ll post them in the GeekFest ’12 Skydrive folder…
