Dear Colleagues,

I have been asked to share this wonderful opportunity with you:

The Hockaday School is seeking a creative and dynamic educator, leader and collaborator to serve as its Director of Technology and Information Resources beginning in July 2012.  For years, Hockaday has been a leader in the independent and girls’ school communities in the use of technology in learning.  With a seven year old  1:1(grades 6-12) laptop program, the School uses technology as a transforming agent in pedagogical change.

We seek a candidate who will be a primary catalyst within the community to create a dynamic and forward thinking learning environment for the exponentially changing world our students are already experiencing.  He/she must first and foremost be an educator, with experience in a variety of grade levels in grades K-12, who understands students and teachers and approaches decisions with an educational perspective. The Director will represent the School locally and nationally and cultivate relationships with other key institutions, including other independent schools, ISAS, NAIS, and Online School for Girls.
