Subject: [NJAIS-TECH] Moodle Moot (or conference) in the North East - Montclair, NJ

I am interested in talking about Moodle and looking for likeminded people to get together with to hold a Moodle Moot (the term used for a Moodle Conference).

I had the idea to host this type of event for some time and after talking it over with a few people and running a session at the NYSAIS NEIT conference ( on the topic I have decided to move forward and try to gauge interests.

If you use Moodle, have questions about Moodle, are trying to determine if Moodle is right for you or just want to know more about teaching online it is my goal that this MoodleMoot will give you those answers.

If you'd like to know more about the idea you can look at the notes from the NEIT conference in the link above or read my post on the it here (

Some of the details are that is will be held at the Montclair Kimberley Academy in Montclair, NJ (15 miles West of NYC) with the date to be determined.  The focus will be on Moodle in the K-12 environment, but all are welcome.  I would like to cover topics from classroom application (pedagogy) to management (both teacher and technical) as well and support, hosting and maintenance options.

If you are interested please take a moment to complete this brief survey as it will help us understand interest and provide focus for timing and topics -

P.S. - My apologies as I am cross-posting this on numerous listservs.
