First of all, thanks a lot for all the feedback everyone sent about Matlab. It was great to see how people are trying to deal with this.

I have today another question how people are handling Comsol licensing and especially the remote access.

If you have a central Floating Network License or Classkit License(s), how are you dealing with the following restriction of the Academic license?

“The Academic Addendum states “The FNL and CKL versions of the Programs may only be used on a network that is restricted to solely on-campus use.”

This statement can be taken literally.  The user needs to be working with the software on-campus. “

Thanks in advance for your help.

Best regards – Didier.

Our labs do not allow for Remote Desktop, so students must use the physical lab. Comsol classkit does allow an instructor to have the product installed for classroom prep. We do not try to police that usage other than to assert that it is not for research use.
