If you'll be attending the Internet2 Member Meeting next week, you might consider stopping by social identity work group session, on wednesday at noontime. http://events.internet2.edu/2012/spring-mm/agenda.cfm?go=session&id=1000... And here's the new, more detailed abstract: This working group session will discuss various approaches to adding support for "social" authentication methods to existing Shibboleth SP deploys. Roland Hedberg will describe a social access framework used in Scandanavia; Paul Caskey will describe a social-to-SAML gateway he has deployed for Texas Higher Ed and state government; Scott Cantor will describe the "Lightweight SSO" functionality he is adding to Shibboleth SP 2.5 to allow sites to easily add other protocol stacks to their SP instance. John Krienke will lead a discussion of requirements for and interest in a centrally run social-to-saml gateway.
