Hi All,

I need to find publically viewable and generally accepted job standards for IT positions like IT project manager, System Analyst, System Developer, Applications Developer, Programmer, et al.

Does anyone know of any published job standards?

Can you talk more about what you mean by "job standard"?  You could start with the Fair Labor Standards Act.  This page talks about exempt employees computer professionals under FLSA.

When we reviewed our positions against this standard, the duties related to analysis were key.  Nearly all our jobs require analysis in the job description.

Or are you looking to get standard descriptions for salary comparisons?  If so, then CUPA data and HEITS data are useful.

The purpose and context might yield other resources.

Best wishes,
Theresa
