I overcame this by enabling Javascript on the addons page before hitting the Install Now button. -jml --- original message --- From: "Kevin Shalla" Subject: [SECURITY] duckduckgo Date: January 26, 2012 Time: 9:5:4 I use Firefox 9, and when I follow the path for what I think should add a search engine - choose select search engine drop-down list, Manage Search Engines... -> Get more search engines... then search on duckduckgo, then press the Download Now button for DuckDuckGo SSL Search Engine (HTTPS), I get the following. I haven't seen that and I'm using the same browser but I installed it in a slightly different way. There's a button in the bottom right-hand corner of the page (it's grey text on white button, so kind of hard to see) that should say "Firefox" (in Chrome it will say "Chrome"). If you click on this it will give you a pop-up with a link to the DuckDuckGo search engine add-on (which is SSL by default, also nice). Maybe give that a try? I can't resist this...maybe we should switch to using skipity.com for search. At least their "privacy policy" hides nothing! http://skipity.com/privacy (I wonder how many people actually use skipity.) ___________________________________ Daniel V.
