Looking for information on CRM projects
One of our current projects is implementing Customer Relationship Management (CRM) technology to support a campus initiative to increase enrollment and retention. (See http://cfe.ku.edu/enrollment/ if you want details on the initiative.) We are interested in connecting with other universities that have implemented CRM. If you have CRM in place, please reply with the following information:
· What CRM solution are you using, for how long and who can we contact for more information?
· Is your CRM solution for students only, or are you also using it to increase corporate/industry contacts too?
Thanks!
Thelma

We are in the process of implementing Lync at University of Houston (right now in pilot phase).
I would like to know if any of you are going through this project and perhaps arrange a quick conversation to gather some LLRs.
Thanks in advance.

Thelma,
We have been using BRM (Banner Relationship Management) for just about a year. Mostly for students at this point. Let me know if you are interested in talking further, and I can put you in touch with the right person.
Thanks

Rita,
We implemented Lync (on a smaller/pilot scale) approximately a year ago. We activated 40,000 users but, in truth, less than fifty actually used the service during the pilot program. I could possibly arrange a time for you to discuss some logistics/details with one or more members of the implementation team if you’re interested.
Thanks,

Hi Thelma,
Babson is in the midst of a CRM project for Graduate Admissions to help streamline the enrollment process. We are moving forward with Enrollment Rx, which is a company that has built an enrollment solution on top of the Salesforce (Force.com) platform.
As of right now, we plan to begin tracking prospective students first. Other types of constituents may come later. It will not be an enterprise-wide solution, but will be geared only towards admissions for now.
Happy to talk more with you about this.
Robyn

Chris,
That would be awesome!. Listening to some of your lessons learned would be very beneficial.
Overall, are your users using the soft interface? Or a hard device (IP phone) instead?.
Let me try to arrange the participants and will let you know.
Thx in advance.

Could we get in on this discussion. Mercyhurst is looking to upgrade to Lync this summer possibly as we are using office communicator already and would like more info on the ipphone side of it.

We are currently in the middles of our Lync implementation. Some high points:
· We have all faculty, staff, and students Lync enabled (~40k).
· In addition, and perhaps more significantly, we have about 1,600 enterprise voice users (meaning these people use Lync exclusively for their office phone. We pulled out their Siemens phone)
· We have also moved the entire university to SIP for the connection to the PSTN
· We have also implemented an enterprise fax solution to move people from the analog fax devices
· We have so far decommissioned 1 of the 6 legacy PBXs on campus
I would be happy to speak to you in more detail if you desire.
Thanks,
Dan
Hi Thelma,
The University of Minnesota is implementing Salesforce.com. Our initial implementation centers around the business processes within undergraduate admissions. However, we have many other entities (ranging from student services to collegiate and administrative units) who would also like to implement quickly and grow this into a true enterprise solution. We also have a few smaller implementations focused on corporate/industry relations.
I'd be happy to talk to you more about this if you'd like.

We have been using RecruitmentPlus for our main campus undergraduate Admission and are in the process of implementing Oracle CRM on Demand.
Our implementation will initially be for our main campus undergraduate Admission, and next our regional campuses and Grad. School.
After these are implemented (end of year 2012) we will be ready to start the next project (TBD). We chose this application due to its ability to be used for matriculated students, employees, faculty, etc. We have no immediate plans to use it for corporate contacts but that certainly could be the next project.
Linda
It seems like there’s two discussion threads going on in this message, but I would be interested in listening in on the Lync conversation, if that’s at all possible.

Thanks to everyone who responded to my request. I shared your responses with the project team and am sure we will be in touch with some of you to get additional details.
Have a great weekend everyone!
