and it could affect US as well, I suspect, as companies will need to adjust to EU ruling

 

resale of software licenses…

Appears to apply to “named user” licenses in 25 user packs, which can’t be broken apart.  Very interesting; it is similar to reselling used music CD’s or video DVD’s in the US (but software does not qualify for the “first sale” rule).  Might some company in the US emulate the narrow UsedSoft tactic for resale of used multiple “named user” licenses to see what the courts decide here?
