Good Day,

I was curious if anyone on this list has a Google Earth Pro grant from Google and if so, what is your experience with the renewal process?    It took a good 6+ months to hear from Google last year per our original application.   Is the renewal also that lengthy?

Much thanks,

Gary

Hi Gary,

I applied for a Google Earth Pro for Education grant for the School of Architecture at the University of Notre Dame last year on 5/7/2012 and received the acceptance notification on 7/24/2012.

This year, I submitted the renewal application for that grant on 5/22/2013 and received the acceptance notification on 7/16/2013, so the renewal process was about 3 weeks faster (and it was still almost two months).

However, I also submitted a second grant application this summer for a new center in the University Libraries, and the turnaround was stunningly fast.  I submitted the grant application on 7/18/2013 and received the acceptance notification on 7/31/2013.  The library was giddy with delight, because I'd been making dire predictions about the results of their procrastination!

         Thanks,  Mary

Great info Mary, thank you for the reply!

I think I will do my renewal sooner rather than later.

Best,

Gary
