Hi,

We've historically used Netop School in our computer labs, but for various reasons are looking to change to another solution. We're looking for a relatively low cost solution because currently roughly less than 10% of our faculty are using classroom management software. We anticipate that number may increase once we switch to something that is more user friendly and more compatible with our environment.

We are considering LanSchool and would appreciate any feedback from those with experience using it. I am also looking for additional suggestions and/or experiences with other classroom management suites.

Thanks,

I’ve tried about six different products (including the ones you listed below) and found that Insight (from Faronics) was the least expensive and one of the most feature-rich products.  Product support has also been great and the software itself is very intuitive for instructors and students to use.

Hi,

We also use Faronics Insight and have been pleased with the price-feature balance when compared to other products.

We don’t have anything negative to say about it.

Jeff and Michael,

Thanks for your input on the Faronics Insight product.  We've used NetOp vision for at least a decade.  Of course the company name has changed a few times over the years – and each time the company's name changes and a new OS comes out, we see the reliability of Vision go down and the bugginess go up.  I just checked out the information on Insight and talked to our rep (we already use Deep Freeze and love it), and it looks like a great product that we may evaluate and switch to this summer.

Regards,
Brady

Thank you. We use Deep Freeze as it is, and this could be a viable solution.

We Use AB tutor.  It comes highly recommended by the people on the  UARK LABMGR listserv.  It is very reasonably priced and I have not heard any complaints about it in the e5 years that we have been using it.
