I find your project and goals interesting.  While I have achieved the CIO rank, I think there are many factors that impact woman both in achieving this rank and their ability to have impact once in the role.  Others have commented on this.

I look forward to seeing your website and learning more about your research project and how I might participate.

Thanks for your reply! I would love to get some feedback from you, not only on the site I am working on but also on what factors you felt contributed most to your attaining the rank of CIO. Some of my research suggests that being at a place where the leadership is conducive to promoting within the ranks defies some of the other barriers. At some point, I might like to get more info on your story if that's ok!

Here's my current plan. I am working on a web site that will provide more information, have the ability to blog, have discussions, offer surveys, etc. We'll probably meet via email, phone conferences, webex type video calls, etc. It would be cool to meet once or twice a year in person if we can find a mutual place to meet. This group will be created as a "community of practice", and we'll discuss our journey, try out suggestions and come back to report on how those suggestions worked, tweak processes, etc. I think it will be fun while at the same time provide value and meaning, so I'm excited about it!

I'm hoping to get the web site to the point where it can be made publicly available by the end of this weekend, so I'll send you the link. After you have a chance to read more, we can have a phone chat if you think you might still be interested.

I look forward to talking with you again soon!
