Bridgewater College is looking into the possibility of establishing a partnership with another geographically remote institution that might host a VM for us in exchange for same. The purpose would be to run a tertiary DNS server and web server, such that if our campus was taken completely off the Internet by an extended power outage, backhoe, or other disaster, the VM could offer up a minimal with information about the outage.

It would be simplest if the partner institution could run a KVM VM; we could host a KVM or Windows Hyper-V VM; we don't run VMware.

If you think your school might be interested, please get in touch with me directly.
