Higher Ed Colleagues -

I am performing a study on the current use of Twitter during campus emergencies. In 2011, many east coast schools used Twitter to communicate with campus communities during the earthquake and Hurricane Irene, as well as more mundane weather situations.

Would you please participate in a voluntary survey about how your campus uses Twitter (or doesn't)? The survey is only 18 questions long, the great majority of which are simple multiple choice.

The survey takes about seven minutes, and I am happy to share the aggregate data with any participants.

If you are not directly involved in your school's online communications, it would be a great help if you could forward this message to the appropriate person or team at your university.

Thank you,

Timothy Russell
