We have a Cisco WCS we want to migrate to a new machine.   The new machine has a different name.

Any issues with just importing a backup from our older WCS?

We did the same a few years ago, migrating off a VM to a full machine, and saw no problems.

I did just that. The size of  our data base meant I had to leave the reports behind, but besides that the name issue wasn't.

If you change the name of the server you will have to go TAC to change your licenses to match that new name. It may be easier to use the same name and you could just reload the old licenses. Karl Sent from my iPhone
