Haven't tested this yet, but sounds like there may be wifi issues in mountain lion. http://www.technobuffalo.com/companies/apple/os-x-mountain-lion-wireless... Just in time for student arrival.  Yeah!

I'll be interested to hear some details form anyone experiencing similar problems following their ML upgrade and, of course, any workarounds that may be identified.  Forwarded this article to our CompSup team and will report anything juicy.

We're also taking flak from early Win 8 users... Impeccable timing from both fronts. ________________________________________
Hi all, Not sure if it helps but I just saw a Mac issue on Cisco equipment where "Client load balancing" was the root of evil. I know that this has been a source of problems before and maybe Apple reintroduced bad handling of this feature. https://supportforums.cisco.com/docs/DOC-26228 Cheers Anders -----Ursprungligt meddelande----- Från: The EDUCAUSE Wireless Issues Constituent Group Listserv [mailto:WIRELESS-LAN@LISTSERV.EDUCAUSE.EDU] För Lee H Badman Skickat: den 27 juli 2012 14:41 Till: WIRELESS-LAN@LISTSERV.EDUCAUSE.EDU Ämne: Re: [WIRELESS-LAN] OS X Mountain Lion Wireless Issues We're also taking flak from early Win 8 users... I had a TAC case this week where the engineer recommended disabling Aironet IE.  He said some non- CCX clients have issues with it.

We're debating it internally now if we should or not.  About all we can find that it does is provide the access point name to CCX clients

I have installed Mountain Lion and I'm not seeing any issues.  My setup is cisco 5508 ver 7.2mr1, wlan is setup with Peap Mschapv2, WPA2/AES.   The wlan also has  aironet IE, client load balancing and client band select enabled as well.  I have tried with 1142, 3502i, and 3602i aps and I'm not seeing any issues so far.  I did find this "hidden" wifi tool located in Lion and Mountain Lion.  This might help someone troubleshoot this issue, so I'm posting link…

Thanks
Trent
