Greetings colleagues,

We would like to identify authors interested in submitting chapter proposals for the book, Research on Course Management Systems in Higher Education, edited by Angela Benson (US) and Andrew Whitworth (UK).

The goal of the book is to present a scholarly and accessible review of the research and theoretical/conceptual frameworks related to the use of course management systems (also referred to as virtual learning environments and learning management systems) in higher education.  The book is organized into three sections:  Pedagogy of Course Management Systems, Planning and Implementing Course Management Systems and The Future of Course Management Systems.

The book will be a volume in the Perspectives in Instructional Technology and Distance Education series published by Information Age Publishers. It is anticipated that it will be released in 2013.  1-2 page chapter proposals are due by July 13, 2012.

The full Call for Chapter Proposals can be found at

Hello Angela, before I write up my proposal, I wanted to know if you are interested in issue-oriented topics.
My work is in  the area of Technology and Accessibility; so, I'll be looking at the CMS systems and pedagogy from the perspective of accessibility for students with sensory disabilities. My topic will fit in two of your sections: "Planning and Management" and "Pedagogy of CMS".
Looking forward to hearing back from you.
