Educational Support Technologist

Position Overview

This position is responsible for developing and delivering workshops, documentation, and deskside coaching in support of educational technology tools, and other academic related services offered by the KU Information Technology (IT) Department. This position will work closely with the IT Client Consulting Manager, other Educational Technologists, KU IT Directors, key IT staff, and partners in the KU

Center for Online and Distance Learning and the Center for Teaching Excellence to identify and develop comprehensive materials and workshop programs to meet the academic technology needs of the faculty, staff, and students of the University community. The successful candidate will have effective interpersonal and time management skills, strong leadership and listening skills, effective oral and written communication skills, ability to provide effective

feedback in a professional manner, and have a positive attitude.

Media Production Specialist

Position Overview

This position assists KU faculty and students with the production and editing of digital media. This position works closely with faculty and students individually on a consultant basis, as well as in small groups as part of workshop or classroom activities. Digital media projects can range from assisting with online delivery of course curriculum to online tutorials to informational service videos.  This position maintains and supports the Media Production Studio space and equipment, conducts workshops for faculty, staff, and students on the use of multimedia technologies, and makes recommendations regarding the hardware and software purchases.

The successful candidate will have effective interpersonal and time management skills, strong leadership and listening skills, effective oral and written communication skills, ability to provide effective feedback in a professional manner, and have a positive attitude.
