Hi Everyone and Happy New Year!

As I mentioned last year :) I thought it might be a great idea to begin offering a monthly online seminar or discussion group or webinar series. So, with that in mind, I'm wondering what the group as a whole might be interested in.  For example: would you like to have quest speakers present on topics of interest? Would you like to have discussion groups based on topics of interest? And, what sort of topics would you be interested in discussing?  I'd like to throw a few suggestions out there, but hope to have you all contribute to the list of potential topics:

MOOCs (I imagine there are a lot of questions around this new form of online teaching and what they might say about caps)
Do our students really care about innovation when it comes to technology in an online course (adults students as lots of log-ins)
What can we really do to up the standards for quality in online education?
What application do you really  love? (I see this as sharing session, where we each come away with a new idea)?
Innovation vs ADA compliance--are they compatible?

Ok, so that's my list of ideas.  I'm sure there are a lot more out there :)

Looking forward to great year of discussions!

Ellen

Those topics sound great, Ellen. I would be particularly interested in sharing sessions and discussions of quality standards.

Regards,

Sarah

I think a discussion of how smartphones specifically iphones, Droids, Blackberries and Windows Phones are being incorporated into online content delivery would be valuable.
