Good People: I'm kinda new in Second Life and am not always sure that I search properly, but it seems that two locations that I had landmarked a short while ago are missing -- the Dresden Gallery and Dante's Inferno. Anybody know if they are still "live" somewhere? Thanks, Ed (aka EdwardScholarhands and Loynes Leakey) -- Edward J. Ed, hello. I don't know about Dante's Inferno, but Dresden Gallery was taken off the grid at the end of last year; Second Life lost another educational highlight. Oh, I have not looked for the Dresden Gallery recently and I am very sad to hear it is gone. This was indeed a great place with a lot of potential applications, in education and beyond. Truly sad. Locations come and go constantly in SecondLife. A couple of weeks ago I went through my landmarks folder, and at least half of them no longer worked. Recent policies at Linden Labs have resulted in massive loss of education, nonprofit, and commercial sims. As others have commented, the Dresden Gallery left around the end of 2011. I think Dante's Inferno has been gone much longer than that. Jean Hewlett aka Riven Homewood

The closing of educational locations is always a sad new. It seems that Virtual Spaceport is going down too:
