Biography

Mr. Laughran is an experienced executive with a technical background, developed over the past 20 years as an information technology professional, with a proven track record for building and managing complex, secure, reliable, and easy to use information systems. This includes depth and breadth of IT management experience in the following areas; software development, continuous improvement of information services, system conversions, application integration, data center operations, and telecommunications services. He also holds an M.B.A. from Babson College.

Mr. Laughran currently serves as Chief Information Technology Officer at Framingham State College and is responsible for the promotion and oversight of all information technology and services, including academic technology and distance education. He is a member of the President's Cabinet and chairs technology related committees while providing the necessary leadership for strategic planning. This includes overseeing the stewardship, service, technical expertise and compliance with state and federal mandates for anything dependent on information technology at the College. He is currently guiding all aspects of the planning, design and implementation of a complete replacement of Framingham State College's administrative and student information legacy systems.
