Alan McCord

Alan McCord serves as Associate Provost and Dean of Graduate Studies at Lawrence Technological University. He focuses his efforts on institutional accreditation, academic program review, e-learning, library, academic achievement, doctoral programs, and faculty research efforts. Al also serves as a College Professor in the College of Management at Lawrence Tech. Prior to assuming his faculty role at Lawrence Tech, he served as senior director for planning and coordination for the Information Technology Central Services unit at the University of Michigan. Al has also served U-M as associate university chief information officer and director of operations management for the Information Technology Division. Al previously served as Executive Director of university computing at Eastern Michigan University.

Al holds a bachelor's degree from the University of Michigan, and Master's and Doctoral degrees in instructional technology from Wayne State University. He has served on the EDUCAUSE Evolving Technologies and Editorial Committee, and is a peer reviewer for the Higher Learning Commission.
