Liberal Arts Education and Information Technology: time for Another Renewal

This article deals with how liberal arts colleges must accommodate the powerful changes that are taking place in the way people communicate and learn. Areas of changes discussed include information technology as part of the teaching and learning process, the importance of the campus network, and the staffing challenges of information services.

Todd Kelley has over 30 years experience as an educator and HE administrator. He is currently the Director of Strategy and Planning and the Deputy Executive Director for the National Institute for Technology in Liberal Education. He was formerly the Associate Provost for Information Technology Services and University Librarian at The University of the South. He holds a Doctoral degree from the University of Maryland in Technology Systems Management, Masters degrees from Columbia University and SUNY Stony Brook, and a Bachelor of Music Degree from SUNY Potsdam.
