Transforming Training Through Collaboration

Through collaboration, Boston-area schools successfully address their shared information training challenges.

Pattie Orr

Pattie Orr is the Vice President for Information Technology and the Dean of University Libraries at Baylor University, where she leads the university-wide information technology organization that provides administrative and academic technology services, technology infrastructure, library services and support for digital assets. A 2000 Frye Fellow, Orr has been involved in many professional associations, including EDUCAUSE, ECAR, CLAC, NERCOMP, Texas Digital Library, and LEARN. She has held many leadership roles, and presently serves on the EDUCAUSE Board, CNI National Steering Committee, LEARN Board of Trustees, Texas Women in Higher Education Board, and the Texas Digital Library Board. Orr provides IT management consulting for higher education institutions in on-site meetings, workshops, and working groups. Her areas of expertise include strategic planning, institutional research, user support reorganization, library/IT integration, and IT policy creation and incident response.

 

Colleen Wheeler

Colleen Wheeler is the Assistant Director of Web Strategy for Wheaton College in Norton, Massachusetts. She serves on the Board of the NorthEast Regional Computing Program (NERCOMP) and on the Advisory Board of The Susan Vogt Leadership Fellows program. Colleen is a Frye Leadership Institute Fellow and a Klingenstein Summer Fellow. She has explored technology in her teaching and learning for more than 25 years as a musician and educator.
