Session Type: Concurrent Session
The advent of cloud computing and the proliferation of mobile devices have sparked the imagination of faculty and students but challenged many of our traditional support structures. This panel will examine this area from a range of perspectives: faculty and student use, privacy and data, support, and barriers to adoption.
Learning Objectives:
*Identify various legal, ethical, and technical impediments to faculty and student use of cloud-computing tools and mobile devices on campus
*Articulate several strategies for helping faculty and students make smart decisions about their use of cloud-computing and mobile devices for university-related activities
*Begin to evaluate the practicability of implementing a collaborative, shared support structure at their institution
*Use the strategies presented as a starting point for modeling support activities around cloud-computing and mobile devices at their institution
Video
Live Video and slides from the presentation are being provided through the generous support of Sonic Foundry.
An archive of this video will be available after the session.

#ELI12_SESS11 to Chad Topaz-- Would you recommend LiveScribe over more flexible tools (where you can post images, diagrams, etc)?
