As students gain a sense of agency in the educational system they tend to develop personal geographies for how they navigate higher education, deal with information and cope with increasing complexity in a world of rapid change. Because of this we are coming to realize the difficulties of anticipating how an intervion will ripple through a complex system. In this session Chuck will present research from the University of Central Florida that addresses these issues. For example he will show that what we have considered to be student dissatisfaction might be better construed as ambivalence.
