How do the ideals of knowledge sharing and education intersect with market forces and modern technology? What is the tension between openness and traditional models of education? Where are the friction points, and how do they propel our collective missions? Are these objectives at odds or can they coexist? This session will explore how open licensing fits with the rapidly changing ecosystem of the Internet and the potential risks and rewards to leveraging openness as a vehicle for improve teaching and learning.
