EDUCAUSE Live! - The Beginning of Something Big
The Beginning of Something Big*
Date: March 7, 2013
Time: 1:00 - 2:00 p.m. ET (UTC-5); convert to your time zone
Host and Speaker: Diana Oblinger, President and CEO, EDUCAUSE
Summary
Thanks to MOOCs, online learning has gained worldwide attention from academic leaders, trustees, legislators, and the media. The power of technology enables massive scale and allows learning and student services to be disaggregated and decoupled from time, place, and provider. IT is reshaping delivery systems, business models, and economics. This session explores "online" learning by asking "What if we used the best technology has to offer?" and "What new models are possible?"
*This presentation is part of an EDUCAUSE Live! Game Changers Spotlight Series focusing on higher education in the connected age.
