Organizing to Get Analytics Right

This session will discuss how the University of Kentucky developed its best-in-class analytic capabilities with a focus on community and collaboration models with colleges, organizational structure changes, sustaining innovation, and engaging the broader higher education community in advocating for change.

Participants will review different methods for growing community participation in developing and managing analytic capabilities; learn how to align the analytics strategy with mobile, student self-service and learning analytics strategy; and understand why the qualities of the technology matter greatly in developing enhanced analytic capabilities and how organizational design can catalyze improvements in analytic capabilities.
