Teaching the Teachers: Keeping Faculty Current

The Duke University Center for Instructional Technology's Faculty Showcase, an event that allows faculty to demonstrate their use of innovative technology to their colleagues, celebrated its 15th anniversary in 2015. This highly successful program has served as a key strategy for keeping faculty up-to-date on the latest trends in educational technology. Faculty development initiatives include book clubs, fellowships, and startup grants, in addition to more common programs like workshops and consulting. Instructional technologists and forward-thinking faculty will enjoy this interactive session about trends in faculty development and gain ideas to take back to their home universities.
