2010 CIOs and Enterprise IT Tackling the Tough Issues Seminar Series
In 2010, EDUCAUSE offered the CIOs and Enterprise IT: Tackling the Tough Issues Seminar Series. These events included a mix of short presentations and discussions around strategies for addressing the tough issues facing our institutions, including political, practical, policy, and financial issues related to the evolving role of the CIO, cloud computing, Web 2.0, and other topics of interest to higher education CIOs and enterprise IT leaders.
Series Format
The series included two web seminars and four face-to-face events. The January 11 web seminar set the stage for the regional seminars, where participants had the opportunity to meet face-to-face and contribute the big issues from their campuses to the national dialogue. The series culminated with a June 8 web seminar in which program facilitators provided an overview of the discussions in their region. This discussion laid groundwork for an in-depth seminar at the 2010 EDUCAUSE Annual Conference, October 12–15, in Anaheim.
