Session Type: General Session
More goes into the making of an outsourcing contract than dotting the i's and crossing the t's. Business models and costs, technology and functionality, use case scenarios and user support, law and policy, and project management are the most prominent moving pieces of the organization's machine that must work in careful concert to accomplish the goal successfully. This session will focus on law and policy aspects in relationship with these other factors, distinguishing what's legal (e.g., compliance) from what's policy-driven (e.g., recommendations that CIOs should make to data stewards about the appropriate use of data types, given the privacy and security considerations of the technological platform).
