Session Type: Governance and Compliance
Data security and privacy are focal points in many institutions' information security programs. There is a complex set of legal and regulatory frameworks for protecting data that we are entrusted with. Responding to data breaches can be a complex and challenging process for even well-seasoned information security professionals. During this session we will discuss the current legal and regulatory environment, instituting controls to reduce the likelihood of data breaches, and incident response planning for if (or when) data breaches do occur.
