Imaging and Document Management Constituent Group

This EDUCAUSE constituent group addresses the many new challenges for the information technology profession that arise from imaging projects. Considerations on the input side include types and quality of paper, quality and use of desired output, scanning software, time and staffing requirements. Dealing with the resulting digital objects raises such critical issues as indexing and retrieval, and long–term care and storage. This group meets at the EDUCAUSE annual conference and uses the electronic discussion list to discuss issues throughout the year.
