Abstract
As we enter a new era as an information-rich society, universities simultaneously are viewed as the solution and the problem. As higher education faces expectations of change greater than at any time since the GI Bill and the civil rights movement, it will need to harness the full potential of information technology toward institutional strategic priorities.
