Abstract
Just as the Internet changed the face of education, "nomadic computing" is taking higher education by storm. Students want to use their laptops and handheld devices from anywhere on campus, which means going wireless. Hear how institutions such as Ball State, University of Pittsburgh, University of Georgia, and University of Florida have successfully deployed their wireless campus projects. This presentation will address the challenges, implementation, ongoing support, benefits, and security issues of campus WLANs.
