Abstract
The USA PATRIOT Act triggered accelerated implementation of the Justice Department's Student and Exchange Visitor Information System (SEVIS) to track international students. This session describes Michigan State University's successful response to a project required for compliance with federal law, complicated by non-negotiable requirements and driven by severely compressed timelines.
