Campus Profile: Colorado Community College and Occupational Education System

Abstract

This article profiles the Colorado Community College Occupational and Education System, which is the largest postsecondary educational system in Colorado, serving sixteen community colleges and a number of secondary vocational schools. Created in 1986, the System has a technology infrastructure capable of supporting its extensive communication and information needs in a technologically diverse and geographically dispersed environment. One facet of this infrastructure is the Education Technology Training Center (ETTC), one of the most comprehensive multimedia production sites in the U.S. This profile is based on a visit to CCCOES by CAUSE editor Karen McBride.
