Abstract
Seton Hall University received the 1999 EDUCAUSE Award for Excellence in Campus Networking. This Campus Profile article describes the university's strategic planning for information technology and the organization of information technology at Seton Hall. The Mobile Computing Program, a strategic partnership with IBM, provides first-year students current Thinkpad laptops when they arrive on campus. The article discusses this partnership and other corporate partnerships Seton Hall has forged to provide services. The article also describes other initiatives to incorporate instructional technology into education programs and practices, including the student technology assistant program, and Seton Hall's Institute for Technology Development.
