Current Issues for Higher Education Information Resources Management

Abstract

A summary of issues identified by the CAUSE Current Issues Committee as being issues and trends that are important to the future of information resources management and use in higher education. Issues include next-generation networks; widespread integration of technology in teaching and learning; meeting insatiable demands; virtual universities; information policy in a networked environment; replacing administrative systems; job restructuring; support for distributed computing; and enterprise-wide management of information resources/assets. We encourage articles for CAUSE/EFFECT journal on these and related topics in 1997-98.
